This traditional Beef Wellington is a showstopper. The perfect centrepiece for any occasion, this Wellington celebrates the luxury of Beef Fillet.
For our take on this classic dish we prepare the fillet, apply a beautiful mix of mushrooms & fine herbs, and finally, encase it all in buttery puff pastry. Everything is hand made and hand wrapped here on our premises. All the hard work has been done for you.
Comfortably feeds 2 people.
Cooking Instructions
Preheat oven to 210 degrees Celsius (fan-forced)
Place the Wellington on a baking tray lined with grease-proof paper
Gently whisk one egg yolk, brush the surface area of the pastry with the egg wash
Best served medium rare - the internal temperature will read 52 degrees Celsius on a meat thermometer - the pastry will be golden brown. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes.
Set aside to rest for 10 minutes. Thickly slice to serve
